A New Paradigm from Carron

If a Paradigm Shift is a change in basic assumptions, the the latest original design from Carron for 2012 is perfectly named.

Freestanding baths are usually assumed to be a feature of a larger bathroom. The shorter length of the Paradigm opens up the freestanding option to a larger market to include smaller spaces.

What the Paradigm loses in length, it more than makes up for in luxurious depth, for a long, relaxing soak. There is an optional factory fitted filler available for the Paradigm

Quantum Family Expands Further

The Quantum Family has been a hugely popular design for Carron. In 2012, this range expands further to include a gripped version and a Space Saver design.

Initially the twin grip Quantum Integra will be available in a 1700×700 version.

The Space Saver follows the same angular lines of the Quantum design but tapers to a narrower end, providing an ideal option for tight spaces.

The space saver can be fitted with a showerscreen, with the wide end providing a dedicated showering area.

Finally, there will also be a new size added to the Duo options. From Jan 2012, there will be a 1900×900 version available.

Quebec Oak worksurface from Bushboard

Printed in high quality definition, Bushboard’s new Quebec Oak features a subtle washed effect that enhances the graining while the ultramatt texture gives the surface a low-reflective quality and is warm to the touch, akin to newly sanded wood.

Quebec Oak is available with the Q3 edge profile which offers a crisper, squarer front edge resembling a slab of freshly cut wood.

It will appeal to consumers looking for the beauty of a woodgrain worksurface at a more affordable price point compared to real timber while gaining the benefits of an easy maintenance, high performance material.

Available in two options of curved components as well as conventional worksurface, upstands and splashbacks, the ready-made and pre-finished components offer the design flexibility for casual dining: for example, a breakfast bar with a radiused curve at one end and a square end at the other can also be used on a freestanding island unit.

Bushboard’s Omega range offers 52 worktop and upstand decors, including 41 splashback designs with an extensive choice of sizes.

New branding, New Products for Mereway Kitchens!

An instant coffee is just that, instantly made and instantly forgotten, but a coffee that has had time, passion and effort lavished on it is a coffee to be savoured, enjoyed and never forgotten..’

This is the philosophy behind the new Mereway Kitchens brand. There are kitchens and then there are Mereway kitchens. An ethos captured in the new strapline ‘Live Life The Mereway’.

Mereway Kitchens are raising their game, with their retailers soon to be enjoying a selection of exciting new brand messages and concepts that demonstrate consumers’ desire for quality.

New Products for April Launch

Hot off the press… Mereway Kitchens has also just introduced an exciting new range within its Italian inspired Cucina Colore collection.

Natural wood veneers, hand stained or hand painted

What is unique about the new range is that it features natural wood veneers, hand stained or hand painted in a choice of subtly contrasting and gently complementing hues. Few manufacturers in the UK still have the traditional skills associated with hand finishing of this kind. In this new range however, Mereway has imaginatively married artisan finishing with extremely contemporary design to offer a market leading look.

Graham Jones, Sales & Marketing Director of Mereway Kitchens comments “This new Cucina Colore range embraces the new ‘living environment’ approach to kitchen design and offers new, innovative ways to personalise the kitchen and open up the space. We have translated European trends into a look that will appeal to the local market and now offer a comprehensive range of painted finishes and combination opportunities that is quite literally second to none in the marketplace.”

In the Kitchen with Duravit

Duravit is a name synonymous with high quality, beautifully designed bathrooms but the prestigious German brand also extends its reach further into the heart of the home – the kitchen.

2009 was the year when Duravit first premiered on the kitchen stage with Starck K, a striking kitchen sink by Philippe Starck (and also Philippe Starck’s first foray into the kitchen).

Cassia by Phoenix Design followed in 2011 and now two new kitchen sink models are being launched in 2012: Vero and Kiora (pictured).

As a potential growth area for the company, the relatively new kitchen products present great opportunities for new distributors to work with Duravit to bring the collection to the specialist kitchen market.

HiB master bathroom ventilation

New for 2012 from HiB is a range of ceiling and wall-mounted bathroom extraction fans offering superior quality, performance and aesthetics.

The two wall-mounted units are activated by a switch outside the bathroom and fitted with a timer that will keep the fan activated after the user has left the bathroom. An optional humidistat automatically activates the fan when humidity is between 60-90% humidity; this will override the timer.

The HUSH model is an ultra-quiet fan (25 decibels) while BREEZE is a discreet-looking low noise (33Db) model. Both are fitted with backdraft dampers to prevent air ingress and are low energy designs available in White or Matt Silver.

The ceiling mounted extraction units – the AIR-STAR illuminated fan and the TURBO in-line fan each have a low energy integral LED light and are fitted with long lasting fan bearings and backdraft dampers.

The Turbo-Fan in-line extractor has a slim facia in White or Chrome with ducting running into the loft where the fan motor is housed and

Mirrors for all from HiB

2012 is off to a big start for leading bathroom products supplier HiB as they launch two new mirror designs that offer simplicity of style yet excellent performance at a very affordable price point.

Importantly, both mirrors have integral heated mirror pads to avoid condensation misting up the surface when the bathroom is steamy.  They are also both low-energy, eco-friendly products that conform to IP44 standards.

The Skye mirror is surrounded by an elegant contoured back frame.

These machines are supplied in kits which offer a complete tile drilling solution including the specially developed drilling machine, guide mechanism, wet or dry tile drills and masonry drills to match the tile drills – all in a tough Marcrist carrying case.
